Happy Friday!!! Feels like Spring!!
As a reminder the Seaside Festival Parade is this Sunday and we need Marchers to represent the Club. Ed Tierney has graciously offered to build us a float and we need your support to promote the Club.
Below are the details from the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce:
Here are the details that you will need to know about the Parade this Sunday, October 9th.
The Staging Area is at the Old Yarmouth Drive In Site which is across the street from Captain Parkers Pub at 668 Route 28 in West Yarmouth
We will be open to direct participants as early as 9:30AM
All bands, marchers, floats, cars etc. must be in place no later than 11:15 so the judges can have some time to pick winners in different categories
There is enough parking on the edges of the site if you drive and need to leave your car
If you are dropping someone off, you will be directed to the spot where that group is assembling Please be careful entering and leaving the staging area
Roads will start to close around 11:45
The Parade starts promptly at Noon and ends at the State Police Barracks on Route 28 in South Yarmouth opposite Bridgewater State College
The weather forecast looks promising at this point and the Parade will go on if there is a mild rain. If we are hit with strong winds and rain because of a change in Hurricane Matthew’s course, any cancellation will be posted on the Seaside Festival web site: www.yarmouthseasidefestival.com
Looking forward to good weather and a great 2016 Seaside Festival Parade!!!
We also have the Membership Meeting at 10:30 so why not come in for breakfast at 9:30, sign in for the Meeting, stay for a bit and then walk over. Have some friends pick you up at the end and then come back and watch Tom Brady’s first game of the Season. That’s what we call “Sunday Funday!” Hope to see you there!
All the best,
